The alarm clock rang on the side of my table ushering me to wake up, I thought to myself why I should get up this early, then it hit me, its the first day of school. Going through the hassle of getting ready, I got dressed went to the kitchen for breakfast and left for school at
approximately half-past seven. I was quite excited being that its my first year in upper secondary and to top it all off I had achieved flying colors in my
PMR examinations.
As I made it to the school I said goodbye to my mother, reminding her to pick me up at half-past three. Heading to the foyer for morning assembly I met all my classmates. We talked about our school holidays till we reached the school foyer. As we stood there notice after notice were being read out by the prefects of our school. The notices did not interest me at the time for I was more concerned about which class I was going to be placed in. As the prefects read the last notice, I saw Puan Farah, the Vice Chairman of Cempaka Schools whisper something in to a prefects ear. That prefect strode forward and asked the fourth formers to stay behind. I knew what was going to happen next. After almost a minute of waiting they sorted out the list of student names. Name by name went by and it was finally my name that they said, turned out I was assigned to Science Class Number 2.
Though I was expecting to be in the first class, I was quite happy to find that most of my friends were in the same class as me. Our classes were then assigned to a specific classroom. We were stationed in the Biology Lab. After a few minutes of hunting for the class room, we were greeted by our class teacher, Cik Zakiah. She introduced herself and asked us to introduce ourselves one by one, as we wrote our name on a piece of paper that was to be handed to her.
After a good two hours of breaking the ice our next subject teacher came in, Puan Azura. She was our English teacher for the next two years of our lives. She instructed us to create our own school blogs and update it frequently (hence the creation of this blog). As we got to know her she seemed like a nice teacher. The period after this was Break, I got to know a new friend of mine Cheng Woei (sorry if i didn't spell that correctly).
As soon as we knew it, it was time for Chemistry. We heard rumours saying that our Chemistry teacher Mr.
Sheat was very strict, though I never met him before I dare not cross him. Once we got to know him, he wasn't as bad as the rumours were, he was quite funny and I enjoyed his lesson.
Soon after he left our Moral teacher came in, Puan Nur, she was also our history teacher. Though I personally didn't get to know her very well she seemed like a nice lady. Soon after that it was time for lunch. As usual I headed to the canteen caught up with a few friends. Soon after that we were back in class awaiting our Bahasa Melayu teacher, Cik Esha. Oh my goodness, she was a really fast talker. She is the type of teacher that you must listen to or you might just have missed the whole lesson but I saw that she was a very good teacher. As the alarm rang at 3:30 pm students were very happy to get home as they were done with their first day of school.
I think I'll end this post here as it is getting a bit lengthy well till next time this is Adrian from Form 4 Science 2.
